This unique monoprint workshop will cover basic techniques used in Glen’s prints - multiple drop transparency, drypoint, with a painterly approach. Students will learn how to incorporate found objects, photo transfer, chine collé and stamping as a focus of their images. Bring items from your travels and flea market finds - sheet music, old letters, metal, paper, fabric, plastic, string, bubble wrap in which to embellish the print. This will be a fun exploration of the printing process and will result in rich surfaces and interesting focal points. We can use most material, although all won’t go thru the press. This fun workshop yields great results and is open for beginners up through advanced printmakers! (Supplies fee includes inks, printing supplies & one sheet of BFK paper. Additional paper available for purchase)
Glen’s beautiful prints draw from a universal visual language, focusing on primal forms and symbols inspired by nature and early cultures. Glen's work, which has an undeniable feminine quality, is both mystical and meditative and transcends into the spiritual realm.
