ABOUT THE EXHIBIT: Anastasiya Bachmanova is an emerging artist whose vibrant and lively paintings depict the wildlife, colors and energy of the sea and are inspired by the magical moments she experiences through her exploration of the Monterey Bay. She is passionate about seizing life in the beautiful outdoors via surfing, climbing, hiking, and living on a boat in Moss Landing. She translates special moments into paintings that are true to their subjects, yet enhanced with an expression of her personality and the movement of the sea by using bright colors and flowing lines. As these works progress, they evolve with intuitive and intentional brushstrokes. Anastasiya believes that nature has the ability to teach us many life lessons if we allow it. The oceans, rocks, and trees are symbolic, and our connection to the animals with whom we share the world. The blank canvas is a tool to share her thoughts and opinions on what is important, what is worth protecting, and what is so magical about a certain moment or place. We are delighted to host Ana's first solo exhibition!
