During this three-hour workshop, Rocco will teach students how to maximize their black and white photographs for best results to expose onto photopolymer plates. Rocco will touch on the theory of curves and levels in photoshop, which is a necessary step to attain the highest quality photogravure. Students will also practice simplified methods of photoshop adjustments that will enhance the photo's value scale to produce the best plate.

Students are advised to bring several images to work with on their own laptops for the deepest learning experience. Students without lap tops can attend the workshop, take notes and can share use of the OGS I mac for in-class practice.
