Narrative Accordion Book with Miniature Etchings
For both beginners and experienced printmakers, this class connects two art forms that are both intimate and rich with possibility. Students will make several small etchings to create their visual narrative and print them in a variety of formats that can then be the content in an accordion book. Aside from learning line etching and printing techniques, we’ll work with decorative papers and mixed media to complete at least one artist book by the end of the month as well as a series or edition of miniature etchings. Depending on class size and consensus, students will have the opportunity to exchange prints in a suite made by the entire class.
